Anyone near or in Ottawa willing to give us a hand, or at least know anyone? we need a vehicle that can can tow a car on a flatbed trailer. Vehicle is in Williamsburg, which is close to Kemptville, and needs to be brought to either Ottawa or Kanata depending on plans.

Will compensate if necessary.

If you’ve got a hitch on your car you can just rent a tow bar.

If you wind up needing a mechanic for the more complex repairs and want someone who works cheap send me a message. I’m not in Ottawa any longer but I made it part of a trip there once just to get him to do some work for me. He’s out in Orleans, full time tech at a Dodge dealership but he also does amazing work in his spare time either at his house or he can be cajoled to attend anywhere. He has worked on every car I’ve owned since I was 18 or thereabouts and there’s literally nothing he can’t do.

im a bit concerned about flat-towing it, as simply leaving it in neutral apparently isn’t enough.

Also, is that mechanic interested in an assistant?

I’ve only ever used a tow bar with a triumph tr6 which isn’t that heavy, I can’t remember where I rented it from, I want to say it was Princess Auto but dunno it was back in the 90s. Anyway it was pretty easy and hassle free that much I remember, I towed it with one of those old toyota minivans that look like a toaster

I doubt he needs an assistant, the stuff he does privately is like literally in his one car garage which has room for getting the creeper in and around the car. If you’re near Ottawa’s west end, there’s a bunch of small shops and a wrecking yard just south of hunt club and merrivale, probably just go knocking on doors and you can find a part time job without much hassle
